The IT BTEC Level 3 Extended Certificate allows learners to develop their knowledge and skills in IT systems, systems management, and social media in business. This qualification covers essential topics such as cybersecurity, data analysis, and the importance of technology in contemporary business practices. The course prepares learners for various roles in the IT industry.

Upon completing their first year, learners earn the BTEC Level 3 Certificate in IT, which is equivalent to one AS Level. After completing the second year, students receive a BTEC Level 3 Extended Certificate in IT, equivalent to one A Level. This qualification equips students with essential skills and knowledge in information technology, preparing them for further education or various career paths in the tech industry. Active participation in projects and practical assessments enhances their learning experience.

This course suits those preparing for employment in the Information and Communication Technology sector, especially in job roles that require ICT skills, communication with users, and performance of ICT support roles. This qualification also benefits those who wish to gain a Level 3 qualification to support further study in Further or Higher Education. Uned 1: Systemau Technoleg Gwybodaeth (Allanol)

Bydd dysgwyr yn astudio rôl systemau cyfrifiadurol ac arwyddocâd eu defnydd o fewn sefyllfaoedd personol a phroffesiynol.

Uned 2: Creu Systemau i Reoli Gwybodaeth (Allanol)

Bydd dysgwyr yn astudio’r broses o ddylunio, creu, profi, a gwerthuso systemau cronfa ddata berthynol er mwyn rheoli gwybodaeth.

Uned 3: Defnyddio Cyfryngau Cymdeithasol mewn Busnes (Mewnol)

Bydd dysgwyr yn ymchwilio i’r ffyrdd y mae busnesau’n defnyddio cyfryngau cymdeithasol er mwyn hyrwyddo eu cynhyrchion a’u gwasanaethau. Aiff dysgwyr ati hefyd i gyflawni gweithgareddau ar gyfryngau cymdeithasol er mwyn gwireddu anghenion penodedig.

Uned 6: Datblygu Gwefan (Allanol)
Bydd dysgwyr yn ymchwilio i’r egwyddorion o ran datblygu gwefan. Byddant yn dylunio ac yn datblygu gwefan trwy ddefnyddio sgriptio gweinydd gwe.

Mae’r cwrs hwn yn addas i’r rheiny sy’n astudio i’w paratoi at gyflogaeth yn y sector Technoleg Gwybodaeth a Chyfathrebu, yn enwedig mewn swyddi lle y disgwylir iddynt ddefnyddio sgiliau TGCh, cysylltu â defnyddwyr, a chyflawni tasgau cymorth TGCh. Mae’r cymhwyster hwn hefyd yn addas i’r rheiny sy’n dymuno ennill cymhwyster Lefel 3 er mwyn hwyluso eu symudiad ymlaen i Addysg Bellach neu Addysg Uwch.
